There are 70 immovable revolutionary cultural relics and 31 red revolutionary sites within the district, including 8 national key cultural relics protection units, accounting for 72% of the city's total. There are also 124 red tourism resource sites, and "Ten Significant 'Firsts' in the History of the Communist Party of China in the Yuexiu Area" have been compiled.Yuexiu District plans “one pole, two verticals, three horizontals and three areas" . It aims to create the theme activities of "Red Research Season", set up a red cultural research base and create a demonstration area for the inheritance and promotion of red culture, so as to generate new vitality for the old city and strengthen its compre­hensive culture strength.
